Sure sounds like a lot to me but a few years ago, I found a Gould Pump handbook that I listed on eBay with a starting price of $4.99. It eventually sold for $150. All you really need is two ready, willing and able bidders that think it’s worth a lot of $, and then sure enough, it is.

Dick you may be correct. Possibly “fat fingered” the price. Um…can we not get a BCW owner in the club to donate his or her BCW Assembly Manual to add to the download Manuals section in TDReplica.com? That would be a good thing if there is no restriction to doing that.

I think he meant to charge 19.97 like his other books but his finger’s weren’t working.

We don’t have the Good Humor Man but we do have an ice cream man. Wait…we have TWO! One comes around 4:30 and the other guy in a different truck comes right…….about……….now. Yep! There he is. But the Good Humor truck is way better than both of theirs.newkitman2012-07-25 18:28:48

I wonder if you could find one of those and alter it a bit to drop onto a VW.

That Forgotten Fiberglass site is worth a look every couple weeks. I think there were several cool ‘glass bodies made to drop on TD chassis.

I don’t think it will go for less than $350, and the hub won’t work for our cars. Here’s the knock-off I got.Big wheel–17 inches or just short of that. Not for everyone.

edward ericson replied to the topic Seat back removal of a BCW in the forum VW Based Kits 13 years, 9 months ago
The BCW seat back is attached on the bottom by two bolts. Reach under the car from just ahead of the rear wheel well and you should find a nut and fender washer on each side. Remove them and the seat back should lft out. You’ll find the bolts are held captive somehow in the plywood back.

On my BCW ,the seat back is attached with a hinge on each side at the bottom.A bolt runs thru the body and the nut on it is accessable under the rear fender. The bolts go thru the carpet also.

Not certain on a BCW but the FiberFab seat back has two hinges but they are hidden behind the carpet on the rear of the seat back. Check to see if possibly that’s how yours is set up.

Looks like he was scared to death riding in the car with you.:-)Hope you had a good time with the in-laws. (Or maybe you scared them away and they won’t be back for a while).;)
