Roy, How about posting a picture of your shirt so we can see how it looks. Better yet, this is your chance to do a little modeling for the group.

OK, Picture this: Came back from Home Depot yesterday with a little through-bolt and an brass acorn nut, plus a spacer, to complete my wiper motor installation. You’ll recall I had everything working, the wires all routed, but was missing that last bolt that keeps the new wiper motor from twisting itself on the shaft.Went to install the new bolt.…[Read more]

Guys & Dolls, I ordered my shirt one week ago and got it today. That’s a pretty darn quick turn around considering that it was personalized and with the other embroidery. I usually wear a “large” but their size chart said that I should order “medium”. Sheri said to order a large. I did and am glad. The sizes are pretty much true to what…[Read more]

Mark,
I used a can of paint designed for wood stoves you can get many different colors if you go to a stove shop. Home depot only has black. I even painted the muffler -

mark I used a can of black rustoleum paint (rattle can) from home depot.
also I took my hood off and taped the edges with painters tape ,That way I didn’t have to worry about overspray on the car . I also did the whole engine compartment. ray102012-03-12 22:17:03

Bill,We’re using a marine grade resin with short strand fiberglass. Can’t recall the brand but the key is short strand fiber. So far it looks like it primes and paints ok but we’re still watching it since we’ve only done spot tests.

I used 3/16 to plumb all mine from front to back.Just watch out for metric thread on fittings and wheel cylinders.Although middle 80’s shouldn’t be an issue, just a heads up.

Wish you had told me that in 1982!Classic Roadsters Duchess uses reproduction TD brackets, but runs the wires out of the side panel into the bottom of the headlight shell (similar to the beige/brown TD in the second picture).

A word on the wire.
I know nobody asked me, but while we’re on the subject, I’ve always wondered how the headlight wires
are supposed to be routed. TDs often show no wiring at all–and Bridget
doesn’t either.Looking from under the fender you can see the wiring come up from the front bay to the spot where the bracket attaches. That is, headlight…[Read more]

May I suggest ebay?right side. Starting bid=$25left side. (also $25). (I know, same piece. I bet he has both sides if, indeed, they’re not reversible). They’re in Killingsworth, CT. He wants $10 each to ship them & has 100 percent feedback. These have been listed a while & relisted. 7 days to go. Might be worth calling him.
