I know, Paul. Couldn’t resist the photo-op thread. So are we TD guys going with a single design? I like the look of those denim shirts. The TD embroidery is almost 4 inches across for the small one. Seems like that could work on a pocket, maybe with the your kit brand–“Duchess;” “London Roadster,” “BCW Model 52,” “MiGi,” etc. under it.Then maybe…[Read more]

Scott,I would take some measurements and see if one of the Chevy truck sending units could be adapted to fit.The hole size and spacing on the nuts, I could almost guarantee, will be correct. And I’m equally sure the ohm rating on the truck unit will be the same. There’s no reason for Chevy to make those different across models. Not sure about the…[Read more]

Too funny Ed.There are a few of the SOG guys that have the Spooner Speedster shirt. He’s the only one to ever put out a Porsche Hawaiian shirt. But trust me, MOST of the shirts you see at their dinner are not Spooners

How ’bout we go denim, short sleeve in natural or khaki? Real subtle with just the TD Replica logo on the left breast pocket (if there be a pocket), or a little Izod ‘gator sized MG TD icon? Tasteful. Subtle. Grownup. Then we rout the Speedster team in a rousing match of Auto Polo!!! BTW, Paul, I noticed they’re plotting a special Spooner Group…[Read more]

I made Karen watch “Two for the Road” with me last year & she got pissed off about halfway through. Think we were both expecting a bit more of a storybook romance there.

On my TD I have the chevette gas tank with the same fuel sender unit .one is fuel the other is a vent line ,that’s the good news . the bad news is that they(Chevy) stop making the sender units and all replacement parts . I got lucky with the dutches ,when we got it the fuel sender didn’t work ,but i had bought a parts car for my other TD so i…[Read more]

I can’t help pushing the loud petal and shifting more than necessary on the curvy roads we are blessed with around here. I don’t check miles per gallon, I get more than enough smiles per gallon.

That’s one of our favorite movies, too, although the scene that follows the TD’s breakdown outside the fancy hotel always leaves me weepy.

Welcome, Dan! You’re smart to do some research before buying. Be sure to take some pictures when you finally hit the road up there in the Panhandle. Always glad to add another Texan to the roster!

Nice work!!I painted my headlight domes with Rustoleum and they came out great but not sure how long they will last. I’m going to spay the body with epoxy because my son has access to a spray booth. If that wasn’t the case I was going to roll it on and work it til it shined. So it’s cool to see someone take that approach.Keep up the good wo…[Read more]

Did some searching around and cannot find a Chevette sending unit.
But parts like this are often used across vehicle lines. And a pickup/sending unit for an early 70’s Chevy truck shows two lines coming out the top.I suspect one line is the vent line. And I’m almost certain you should have a filter sock for the pickup tube. Every Chevy pi… -
