Trade for four kayaks? that could be a deal. Think the engine will be a 2.8, 60-degree V6 though, which imho would be just about right. Did they make a 3.9?

Still lots of interesting ideas. I really don’t button it up as I try to drive it a couple of times a week at least. I have put in some dryer sheets and will report back in a week or so.

I found what I needed on the Grant website and gave them a call. They confirmed that a standard installation kit for Ford (3249) plus their One Inch Reducer Kit (4001) to bolt up to my 5 bolt steering wheel is what I should order. Grant distributes through many auto parts stores. I ordered at my local Auto Zone and had the parts in two days.

If mine were outside I would park it on a sheet of plastic or, at least, pavement. Vapor comes up from the ground and rusts stuff. Ask me how I know. I figure the tins should keep animals off your engine (VW people) and
with a front engine there’s not too much to perch on in there. Just
interior to keep clear, yes?So, shoot some WD-40 in the plug…[Read more] -

Sadly, my Halcyons are not (yet) ground to my prescription. Otherwise I’d have them on now, as I type this from my desk at work. The WWII-style flying helmet is roasty-toasty on those chill autumn evenings. Highly recommend.Right now looking for good gauntlets for the Full Winter Effect.Don’t think the silk scarf will rate though. Here’s me at…[Read more]

Looking at the champer – could you just use any small metal can/box and put some holes in the top and glue on a magnet? Then just buy the oil or put in the mothballs. Mine also sits out with only a cover and I am watching all the responses to see what I can do to make sure I do not come out; take off the cover, to find a raccoon living in mine.

Mark,
Noticed in the photos that your door panels aren’t secured with screws. Did you make slotted holes in the cardboard backing and install the panels like on a regular Bug? Looks nice and clean that way. -

There are lots of options, jackets, pants, both outerwear and liners.Just Google “Motorcyle Heated Clothing”
I have no personal experience with any of this, but here is one manufacturer…recommended by a motorcycling friend…

What’s the deal on these heated motorcycle suits? Sounds like a good deal for those frosty South Louisiana mornings. Both of them! LOL
Just kidding. We get some cold weather down here to. At least for us it’s cold. One of those heated suits would be great as long as it’s not to bulky. TD’s are not known for their over abundance of room in the cockpit. -

Wow, what a striking color. The interior really sets it off as well. Very nice work. Congratulations on a great looking vehicle.

Montie very well done about 3 dollors in material cost and probably about 300 dollors of labor but you had fun and have something you should be very proud to own.

Hmmm. If you have no storage units close by, maybe one of your patients has a garage with some space available that you could rent for a few bucks a month, or in exchange for the occasional drive.

I have another idea for you to help get rid of your little friends.

Simply soak cotton (or a rag) in peppermint oil, and put into champer.

Hi Guys
Bill
I have the side curtains but decide not install them. Remined me of my golf cart curtains. Plus I live in sunny Florida and only concerned if I got caught sometime in the rain. Not cold enough here to worry about heat.
The top I re-worked, by cutting to bow’s in half and installing a spacer between them which I got from a marin…[Read more] -

Beautiful car Mark. It color looks like one I saw for sale down the road from me in I believe Clarksville Arkansas. If it is the same car you have made some very nice improvements! Your rear cover support looks like the one I made for mine out of 1″ aluminum tube with rubber chair leg caps for non skid. I keep mine in the front trunk where it will…[Read more]
