Ed, I thru the patterns away after the shop finished the curtains. I just held cardboard up to the car and traced out the size , Every BCW i’ve seen has a slightly differrent top so you should need to make your own.

Larry. I think I’m gonna want your side curtain patterns, particularly if they’re going on your BCW.

Sounds like it’s in the ball park, said the man who had two new convertible tops put on his Pontiac in the early-mid 2000s. Those were about $800 each.

Tom, Sounds reasonable to me. I paid $200. just for side curtains. I made patterns out of cardboard with the windows cut out. I fitted the snaps that attach to the body and the velcro that attaches to the top myself. All the shop had to do was cut the material to match my pattern and sew a hem arround the outer edge and the window.

Wobby lives in Northfield. That’s a little bit south and west of Montpelier, up in the Green Mountains. It’s in a valley in those mountains so I hope he and his family are okay. They may be out of power there for a bit.
I liked it up there. had a cousin who attended the college there and would run up there to visit every now and again. They have a…[Read more] -

Fortunately she doesn’t live in those areas. And I’ll be driving back from vacation on the 9th to get home for a golf tournament for the local Disabled Vets on the 10th. Plus the TD is nowhere near being completed. Perhaps in the spring (I hope). I’d love to drive her to Carlisle in 2012.

Hey Ed…me too! Finally did a walk around on the property. Found one broken fence post. Did a temporary fix so it doesn’t pull the fence down. And cleaned a ton of leaves and small stuff out of the pool.Still a heck of a wind out there.

I thought the brake adjusters bolted in from the back side of the brake back plate. Two small screws or one small bolt like the wheel cylinders did. Perhaps that’s only on the Ghia.

Pops had a ’38 Phaeton–4-door convertible–some time before the Volvo. Mom says he used to wear a top hat when he drove it. As they slowed toward the town square she’d start singing the Miss America theme to announce herself.
