Not fond of the side curtains at all. They definitely look like they were an afterthought by the way they fit. And I prefer the silver wheels rather than painting the wheels the body color. And what is the badge of below the windshield post? I do like the spare tire cover though.
I agree it does not appear to be a Fiberfab kit. At least none I h…[Read more] -

Those side curtains are just one more reason for me to believe that “TD” really stands for “Top Down”.

In my opinion, you do not need the seat tracks. Your seats will sit on either bases or frames that are supplied by the kit manufacturer. If yours are missing ,they can be made from treated lumber and covered with carpet.

Paul, That car looks like a very early MiGi to me .Notice the bumps do not extend the entire width of the fender/running board as they do on the CR Duchess. It also has a rounded top engine cover that I think only the early MiGis used.
Your comment on the side curtains was much more complimentary than my would have been.

This is a pretty nice loking car, at least from the pictures.
The VW engine looks bone stock. Probably nothing to say about it.
I admit I am a little confused.
The seller is sure it is a Fiberfab car. But…
That little “hump” in front of the rear fenders is a Classic Roadsters Duchess detail. The Fiberfabs I have seen do not have that bump…[Read more] -

That my new friend, sounds like an excellent decision. Definitely not worth the risk, the stress, the possible BAD outcome of driving a hand built car with bad brakes!I’m a firm believer that the vast majority of us don’t need to own a truck…but we all need a friend that does!

A friend is a good thing to have!! A friend with a truck who is willing to help you is a great thing to have!!. You are doing good . Better to haul it home and then fix what you find needs attention than to lose your investment ,a rare car and possibly your life by taking chances when you know that there are problems before you begin the…[Read more]

When you pick her up, remember to talk to her nice and remind her that you’re going to make her well again. She’ll take care of you then. You can tell that to your wife to if ya want!

I’m taking the easy way out with a friend, his truck and a Uhaul car hauler.
Just don’t want to tempt brake failure on those 6~8% grades on the first date -

When I drove mine home the first time I had to pump the brakes too. I made sure the emergency brake worked though. Just in case the others failed..
Was a fun ride, had to feather the gas and hold the brake at stops to keep it running (old gas). I didn’t have but about 30 miles to go, wife was following and taking pictures. -

Has anyone heard from Pink MG? I haven’t seen anything on the forum lately . I know his retirement is near and lots of other things going on but I remember seeing on the news that Monmouth County was having problems from the storm.

I believe all the Schweppes cars were the same color combo.Larry…I went through the registry. And it looked like you were right! All our BCWs have tan tops and interiors…except one. Neil Flaherty’s (Profile57) BCW has a black top.
