My speedometer seems to work fine (only off one or two miles per hours per my GPS unit), but the odometer doesn’t work at all. It didn’t move one tenth the whole way from Seattle to Phoenix.

Oh, that made me laugh out loud!Boy, if I carried that much spare gear and tools, I wouldn’t have had room for my luggage on my ‘bringin’ her home’ voyage. Good advice, no doubt.

And I also created a Craig’slist for the tow bar yesterday and deleted it this afternoon.I’m not sure what the block of space is to the left of my first image. It is 26 inches wide, flat, and then there is the mirror image on the left side.

No trouble at all, my buddies! I welcome all of your input, as I had no idea what a coil over shock was, or even what kind of donor or base car I had purchased.I had an adventurous day, first at one UHaul dealer trying to get the lost-key lock drilled out so I could remove the sizing adapter from the small 1 1/4 inch to the 2 inch size, that I…[Read more]

Just a quick update. As I mentioned in another post I have finally identified the car. It is really not a kit at all. In the early 80’s, members of Kosair Shrine in the Louisville and Southern Indiana area decided to build parade cars. There were initially 20 members. They used a basket case MGTD with a decent body to make molds and proc…[Read more]

Either brake fluid or fuel. If its gooey then my vote is a leaking MC; probably where the pedal pushrod enters the MC. There’s a double wall where the MC mounts and it can take forever for a leak to show if its a slow leak. Yours sounds more like a blown seal. If it was the brake tube running from the MC to the rear then the fluid would be in the…[Read more]

Good to hear from you, Richard. Looks like some of the gang are going to meet in Chambersburg MD when the Great Race passes through on June 14. They’re headed your way though, so you might want to meet up with them a few days later.Sorry to hear about your amblance. Do you really get engine damage before the water comes through the exhaust ports?…[Read more]

One afternoon as I was sharing a green bottle with Hulmet he shared with me hgis secrets to good fiberglass repair. Remember this was over a few green bottles and I’ve got this blackout thing going on ever since I started really working on my drinking problem. I think this is pretty much what he said. I even conjured up a few mental images to…[Read more]

Yes, what Pink (Mark) said. Sorry. The one I linked to is the one you’ve got. You can resell the tow bar & get your $60 back. Just put it on Craigslist. On the good side, you have a more sophisticated and probably better front suspension than most of us. Towing this is now complicated. There used to be “universal” style tow bars available. Not sure…[Read more]
