If anyone has any assembly manuals not already on our site, please email me or contact me via private messenger.
We’d like to add as many as we can to our Download Manuals page.

Update on calendar. The May, September and November shots are as follows. The rest is the same, plus there’s a cover shot. I ordered one & and working out a way to make it easy for anyone to grab one via the web & pay pal or a credit card. The site I’m using wants $25 to print and ship these. I’d like it cheaper and will look about for a cheaper…[Read more]

Hi Redd,
I received your email. But figured I’d reply here so everyone can see and add their comments. There are a fair number of us here that are crazy enough to still live in NJ.
Re that old Alfa replica, I believe vehicles titled/registered as Street Rods (an official class in NJ) may run fenderless.
Other home built or “kit cars” are titled…[Read more] -

Nice work, Paul. Those with Macs should know to rotate the pages by holding the “butterfly” key (AKA “command”) and the letter R. If you select all the pages first, they’ll all turn at once, then you can save the file with them all oriented right like that.

Not just because I built one, but Classic Roadsters provided the best assembly manual in the business. If you own ANY VW based TD replica, it might be worth your while to take a look.
The original manuals are in landscape format. My autofeed scanner does not automatically rotate the pages. On a PC, if you open the PDFs within your browser, right…[Read more] -

I doubt if many shops today will know how to adjust the camber using the upper ball joints. If you didn’t remove the ball joints from the trail arms, you probably didn’t disturb the camber.
However, you are correct in the caster change when using the lower beam tube shims. So, almost any shop can tell you what the caster and camber is and set the…[Read more] -

That tube you have is acting as balance tube between the manifolds. I’d connect the “034” vacuum to a tee in that line.
I have a brand new “034” in the box with a Pertronix Ignitor installed. I bought it from Aircooled.net for $250. I never installed it, buying an “010” centrifugal from Glenn Ring and installing a #1844 Pertronix Ignitor i…[Read more] -

Yes my dual 34mm delorotos each have a vacuum port. At the moment I have a vacuum hose connecting them to each other. Is the 034 dizzy a dual vacuum or willI have to “T” the two and connect it to the 034?

I had the divot for the center grub screw right, but the ones on the ends were opposite what they needed to be (?) So I pulled the springs out, swapped them end for end and reinserted. Then the divots and grub screws lined up right everywhere. Logically, this made no sense to me either, but it worked. As for alignment. Hmm. I’ll for sure do it in…[Read more]

Ed, it’s called demand…magneto’s are old technology and do not make the voltage of today’s coils/MSD type “boxes”. Most race cars don’t even use them anymore.
Get rid of the “009”, they’re horrible. Get an “010” or “019” from Glenn Ring on the SAMBA. Install a Pertronix (you may have modify the rotor slightly). You won’t believe the di…[Read more] -

Ed, don’t think it matters how the leaves go into the tubes….it only matters that they go through the center “alignment” square.
To get them in, I actually assembled the control arm and bushing on one end of the leaf stack, snugged the snub nut and inserted them into the tubes. Then I put the seals and control arm on the other side.
Don’t…[Read more] -
