Mullica Hill, NJ is just southeast of Camden, NJ/Philadelphia, PA on US 322 between Bridgeport and Glassboro (Rowan University).
It’s about 95 miles southwest of where I live. If Fort Monmouth wasn’t closing in 11 months and I wasn’t retiring and relocating, I’d go look at it.
As it stands now, I have a ’69 Beetle, two ’74 Beetles, an ’89 GMC Sub…[Read more] -

There are several good wiring harness companies out there to choose from…Ron Francis Wiring, American Auto Wire, Painless Wiring, Centech. I’ve used them all.
A universal “Hot Rod” harness is the best to use IMHO.

It’d fit in the garage. Not the budget. On that note, I just scored a pair of gen-u-ine SRT 576 Lucas fogs for $42 including shipping. “Patina” on them (o.k., “pitting,” if you prefer) just about matches what’s on the rest of Bridget, so when I put them on her it should look like they’ve been there forever. In my fevered mind, this will be a big…[Read more]

I feel really blessed to have found this car. It has a real MG like hood, fold down windshield, an auto trans, velour car like adjustable seats, a real MG 3 bow top. It also has a wiring job that looks like a tarantula orgy. (may have to redo that, but everything works…………)

Mark Hendrickson replied to the topic Ford engine ID in the forum Chevy/Ford Kits 14 years, 8 months ago
It’ s probably a 2.0L OHC Ford. That engine was in the second and third year Pinto’s. The first production Pinto was a pushrod 1.6L and then the European (German) 2.0L Ford.
These engines were extensivey used (Formula Ford) and many other classes of road racing. I remember in the late 70’s they were in asphalt mini-modifieds that ran almost…[Read more] -

“Made in England?” Obviously it’s some kind of experimental-head XPAG! Go with it, man, you’ve obviously unearthed a rare “special” MG.Or, then again, I wonder if maybe you have the German EAO engine (which could indeed be dated 1970) with the Kent (“Made in England”) air cleaner?

Yes it did. I haven’t gone through everything but it does appear to be all there, up to 10-22-2010. That’s the day I downloaded it. I left it downloading overnight and it wasn’t finished yet. It took 23+ hours to dowload. Checking the download again, I found that the photo gallery did get downloaded afterall. Except there maybe one or two folders…[Read more]

Thanks for the suggestion dbrock.I always click the “Active Topics” link at the top. That displays all new posts since the last time you logged in. But you are right. Others may use the forum differently. SO I’ll copy the initial post and lock it so that any conversation happens in this thread.Thanks.

Donna,
I agree with all the rest too, back roads, lower speeds and lots of looks. Mine is a Ford powered with automatic, and love it. She sat for most of her life in a warehouse, less than 2,000 miles on her when I bought her last year for 3,500. I’ve did some upgrades in the suspension, belts, and hoses etc. Did custom stuff to personaliz…[Read more] -

Hi Paul,
I downloaded the whole site up to Oct 22, 2010 using a program I downloaded off the internet. I put everything onto a DVD. When you click on it, it comes up in IE just as it does from the internet. The only thing that seems to be missing is the navigation bar on the left, but the files (Manuals, articles etc) are in the download. The…[Read more] - Load More
