Last year at the annual fund raiser car show at my grandson’s school, my white TD replica was parked beside a really nice Cobra replica. The owner was a super nice guy as well. When the trophys were presented , I got one and he did not. It was a peoples choice show and my grandson must have got all his friends to vote for his Papa’s car. It sure…[Read more]

Likr “red” said, the original kit manufacturers provided assembly manuals.
These are not owners’ manuals in the traditional sense. I varying degrees of detail, they were the “big car” equivalent of the instructions in your plastic scale model kits.
Also, I would bet that thsoe that bought turn-key cars received nothing.
If you can get an assembly…[Read more] -

That’s a pretty funny hood ornament jas. Should go good on a Ford Pinto.
What’s even funnier tho, is I grew up 20 miles south of Northhampton Mass. Oh me!

Looks super! Nice spinners
I had changed my radiator logo to MG also. Found the MG emblem on ebay also. I had a problem with mine turning on the single bolt mount, so I had to apply some double stick on the inside. I had it tight, but it would wiggle until it was crooked. It stays put now.Beautiful auto Red MGTD

Well I’ve checked eBay and have one on a watch list. Problem with most is they have Ford or Chevy on them. Nothing against either but it doesn’t fit with my VW based kit. Spending serious time on a good VW Chassis. Got my eye on a 71 Beetle chassis locally.

Thanks guys. I had heard that boat dealers use diluted muriatic acid to ‘freshen’ boats and remove all sorts of stains. I had heard that Oxalic acid is the prime ingredient in Barkeeper’s Friend. I’ll start with Oxalic and if that doesn’t get it, I’ll check with Dan about how to dilute the muriatic acid. Thanks a million,James

“You” are not saying it’s a 52 MG, DMV would be doing that. It does not magically transform your kit into an original.
No one will be deceived by it.And for the record this is not NJ drafted legislation. This bill proposes adoption of model laws developed and written by SEMA. Laws that are working well in other states.Having a title that says 52…[Read more]

James , good art
that is what i was thinking on that line, Dremel drills are to slow and i am not that steady that is why i think a radial arm saw would work better for me. But a Rotozip would work . The car shows are cool
all types are there for sale and show .
