Greg,
I like it….fools the car thieves.
Mel got the retro radio that you will be seeing next week. My radio removes by sliding out of it’s recessed mount. When the radio is out the compartment is a map holder..sorta. It’s an older unit, probably 80’s vintage, but works great. No MP3 or CD on mine, but I can connect the ipod to it thru the AUX…[Read more] -

Just one ignition switch that I use. The one in the steering column is currently disconnected until I work out the details between the new wiring harness and the ford ignition switch.

Greg,Works well. I had thought of setting mine in a center console, just a little further back than yours. I do have a wooden center floor console with drink holders that matches the dash. The heater (some of us need a heater
) is just above my center floor console. I may just leave my radio where it is, upper dash, passenger side. How many…[Read more]

I’m likely for the show field. Dinner? Why the hell not! Hard to plan when the car is not even registered yet but I’m a definite probably, and Karen is (so far) very enthusiastic. Tally ho!

I second that! Very, very cool.
As some of you know, I have a 1965 Plymouth Satellite convertible. I’m a member of a huge “on-line” Mopar club. We get together each year at the Carlisle Chrysler show and put on a bar-b-q for 150 members, family and friends, sometimes over 200!
A couple years ago, Big Daddy Don Garlits was one of the featured gue…[Read more] -

In over 15 years of attending, I have always registered for the show field only.

Richard:
I am trying to convince the wife we should attend (we are moving south next summer) before we move. Since my car is in Florida we will just go to shop and admire the cars. If it comes to pass count us in for dinner.

Dan:
change the speakers first, after time they need replacement. I bought a radio on ebay for less than $50 (will install it next week) that accepts a usb memory stick and SD card. I prefer that to leave an ipod in the car (it’s more convenient and easier to carry when out of the car).

Rich ; it sounds like the new pipes need different mounting, the harmonic vibration in A new exhaust system is usually a fairly simple fix, just time !! Remember car companies spend $$$ millions on the exhaust design , maybe different hangers? I think ,as the radio,, I have Panasonic speakers clear sound from a Wal-Mart Radio!! have fun…[Read more]

Thats great…The wife and I just arrived in Naples for the next 2 weeks. Boy, I wished I had the TD down here…80 degrees. Just tripped over a restored TD and was pouring over it to see all the REAL STUFF. It was for sale for $25 big ones. Ouch. I guess I’ll be happy with my dual exhaust TD. Enjoy Florida and Merry Xmas to all.
