They have the same setup I have, only theirs is $50.cheaper.You can see from the picture how it works, the master for both brake and clutch are mounted on the base.It is available with or without the throttle pedel. You can bolt…[Read more]

Well I only said pewter because the original price lists show it as a pewter emblem. Maybe they just meant pewter in color

Hey Kitcarguy, welcome to the club…My MIGI emblem is brass or something else than pewter. In any case, I may replace mine with a MG emblem. Don’t know if there is an interest to replicate the FF one or not. Put a pic of your car up also…cheers!!!

What you need to do with the torsion leafs is to cut short pieces and tack them on to the long leaves you are going to use.I made them about four inches long. They will act as a dummy leaf and take up the space so the grub screw will work properly. You will have to cut some short peices for the outboard ends also.I figured out what had to be…[Read more]

Did you ever find a source for the VW vertical E break conversion? I am looking for the same thing, but not having much luck. I have never even seen a picture of one, but I presume it is a handle that is easier to reach in these MG VW kits.

Hey paul and everyone. They are the original style emblem from Fiberfab. I was just curious if people were interested in these before I gave any thought to replicating them. The originals were made of pewter, but these will most likely be a zinc alloy.

Thanks to both of you for your useful information.
I am purchasing this car from a woman that is about 5′-3″ tall and the peddles fit her properly. I’m a little taller and my knees hit the steering wheel whenever I clutch or brake. -

I have one of these cars with the VW pedels, and one with a Neal hydraulic setup. That just bolts to the floor with 6 bolts and can be put wherever you want it.It works nice. The hydraulic clutch is real smooth. The complete setup can be bought from the dune buggy boys, but I found a complete setup on ebay.Look at some of the vendors on the Samba…[Read more]

The nice thing about the MP Lafer is that it is a factory built car. Lafer would buy chassis/engine combos (new) from VW and factory assemble the car. It actually has prettier lines than the MG. You may be able to find one by contacting our MP USA Club president at ifrinn@bellsouth.net, mplaferclube@bellsouth.net…he may have some good leads.

Hi Bill,I can send you the pages from my Classic Roadsters assembly manual showing how to relocate the pedal assembly. Since you are moving it forward, you may have to buy new cables for gas and clutch. You may have some problems, depending on how for forward you want to move the assembly. There is a center hole about 2.5 inches, and two bolt holes…[Read more]

The TD centers attach with a single post, backing felt and a single cotter pin.

How do these hubcap centers attach? I have vw caps that have the BCW letters on them. They are held on by two holes with posts and locks. I would rather put MG logos on them. Except I have just bought 5 VW caps and have allready drilled them.

Paul Mossberg replied to the topic Tires in the forum Chevy/Ford Kits 17 years, 8 months ago
Hi
Are you sure it’s E178 and not E78-14? I cannot find any conversion charts with an E178 size.
The chart at http://www.vintagecarconnection.com/vintage_tire_size_conver sion_chart.htm
says an E78-14 is the equivalent of a 185/14, P195/75R14 or P205/70R14. The first is an 80 series, then 75 and 70 series. -
