What Kent said and remember to NOT pull the master cylinder bolts out. Slide the master cylinder off the bolts so you don’t lose the spacer between the two front pan pieces. Its a double firewall there where the master cylinder mounts.

On my old VW FF TDr, you need to remove the gas tank to get access to the back side of the master cylinder. There should be either clamps or straps (or both, depending on builder) holding the fuel tank down…

Howard,
Buy a diagram? Heck, we don’t want your money!
A VW Migi II wiring diagram is in our library:

I just bought a 52 MG TDr VW. It’s an older Fiberfab kit. The brakes are almost gone. Bleeding gets mostly air, but resevoir is near full. So I’m looking at replacing master cylinder. However I can not see how to get access between fire wall and cylinder mount under the hood. The frame is welded. Removing body panels looks too diffic…[Read more]

- My old kit car needs a wiring diagram. I have no way of knowing which diagram. All the wires have been cut to remove the wood dash and garages, in order to paint and redo the wood. How can I purchase a diagram to match my MIGI
- It has VW engine, A cable driven speed o meter and ceramic fuses.
- Any help please and thank you

My thoughts lean toward September because August can still be very hot but maybe PA is different?
I can do most dates but need lead time because I am overwhelmed at work. My Granddaughters birthday is the 21st of September so that following weekend is most likely out plus it gets close to our October meet. I lean towards the weekend of the 10th…[Read more]

@edsnova So far I got you and @schu. If schu can do an August date that would be best because we would have three cars. I hope anyone else out there who is interested pipes in so we can get a run together. If it turns out to be just you two guys that are interested, we don’t mind doing two runs. It just sounds like more fun with at least a small group.

I might could do an August run. Actually any of those other dates would probably work for me. But don’t halt the Labor Day cruise if I’m the only no-show.

Thanks Paul and Stephen,
I am well aware that folks have their regular “day” jobs/responsibilities and then pursuits like this. There’s always something “doing” (or probably about to “do”) with the BCW, so I liked to keep an eye on this site to hopefully head things off at the pass.
Keep up the good work!

1952 MGTD kit car for sale. Daily driver. I drive it about three times a week. 5,500 miles on it. Just had new carb (not rebuilt) and new fuel pump put on and tuned up with oil change and new screen. Four wheel DISK brakes, new master cylinder and new AM/FM/CD installed. Good top and side curtains with NO holes or tears. Boots for top and side…[Read more]

@edsnova I picked Labor Day weekend forgetting about Lime Rock and relying on the long range weather forecast. If that date doesn’t work for you or @schu I’m happy to change it. The two weekends following (Sept 10 and 17) there is a chance of rain (in the 63% to 53% range.) The weekend of the 24th shows a clear forecast. Another (I think eve…[Read more]
