These are the LED tubes I used. Comparable ones at HD are $16 and change, as I recall. Since mine were T12s (no shunts), I was able to use the original tombstones. That’s a haul for me (5 1/2 hour drive) but I may give it a try. I do the Fl Bug Jam in Dade City, FL and that’s a 5 hr drive but I generally stay overnight Saturday night. I’ll have to think some on that.

Thanks to all for the suggestions. I should get the car back from the upholsterer by Monday and will do some checking into these things. The most likely culprit seems likely the throttle cable housing at the fan shroud. Air leaks seem unlikely since the carb is new. Brakes? Dunno.
