How to upload photos by the great Ed Ericson
First you go to your own thing. Upper right corner it should say something like “Howdy, Happy Jack.” Click on that and you get a drop-down menu. At the bottom it says “media.” Hover over that with your curser and you should see another drop-down menu with “albums,” “photos” “videos.” Click…

10” should fit. You may have to alter the way the arms are set up as to length and/or angle.

Solutions to problems–Best Buy did a great install on PIoneer radio with wood dash cut. Cooper white walls, very reasonable compared to Coker. License plate holder under bumper from EBay, easy install to center the plate. Panorama mirror snap-on gives great visibility but removes for a show–I keep the small useless mirror for shows. Gauges wen…[Read more]

Duchess purchased from Punta Gorda, FL in Feb 2021. Mustang 2.3 but seems to be Chevette frame. Fuel gauge not working, New Pioneer radio. Seats to be redone in Sept. Had a 53 TD in my late 20s and needed a fun car in my early 70s–Duchess is much more dependable and real head-turner. Daily driver for me, local. New Cooper white walls. MGRITA, n…[Read more]

I recently bought a VW based MG TD from the original owner. It was purchased in Ohio from a Buick dealer in 1982. The literature says it is an American Custom Car out of Houston, but I cannot find anything about the company. It has been garaged for about 10 years but still rolls and the engine is complete and turns over. Here is a Facebook link…[Read more]

Hello Danilo,
That sounds like an interesting car. But I’m not at all familiar with the UK manufacturers.
There is a Facebook group that appears to have a significant number of members from Europe. If you do nto get a reply here, I suggest looking for that group, “MG TD Replica/Kit Car Owners Club”

Glad you found it! Accessing the MC on these cars can be tricky and it’s also true that there as many styles of rig connecting the pedal to the MC as there are TDr manufacturers. My BCW uses a custom length pushrod. I’ve seen some that use two full set of pedals, with the one under the driver’s foot connected to the one at the original VW location…[Read more]

FOLLOW UP: I used an endoscope and figured out everything. The original builder of the car, not wanting to leave the MC where it was located and use a lengthened brake push rod, put the cabin interior on the pan, moved the MC to the back of firewall behind the brake pedal to use the same setup as original on the VW. Then he added the front of…[Read more]

Based on a ’66 VW this one was built from all original factory parts that came from Classic Motor Carriages/Fiber Fab in Miami. Photo documented from the start with a diamond plate floor to the custom paint job not gelcoat. It won a second place award at a German car show, it’s been in a movie and numerous photo shoots. Loaded with a ton of…[Read more]

thanks, David, did that a few years ago and even took it to the mechanics, but no one can figure out how to get to the assembly once the body was put on, there is no openings anywhere that we can find. I can shine a light down the hole cut in the battery box and no light shines anywhere under the car, it is totally sealed up. That is where the m…[Read more]

Does anyone knows something about a company called TPC MOTOR COMPANY that worked in the 80’s and 90’s in Stratford-upon-Avon, England?
I believe I have a MG TD replica made by them in 1984. Can’t find any history on the Internet of MG TD replicas made by them.
Thank you

Raymond
Have a look in the Library section of this site. You will find an assembly manual for a CMC VW based TD. On page 10 the brake assembly and master cylinder are shown. You will at least see how it was put together -
