Motor mounts uses the stock 2.3 mounts with about 1/2 inch sliced from the face and a flat plate welded, then sbc isolators bolted to the flat plate.I will not use the fan shown but will use electric. Weather not looking good for Friday, Carlisle but may show up on Saturday.Melvin

Sounds like you have had your issues to deal with, but you have overcome the difficulties. Thanks for posting the radiator mounts, that does help. You may want to isolate the bolts that go in the radiator sides to help prevent the aluminum corroding. Also that is the location for the fan shroud mounting. No reason it can’t serve as both. Thanks…[Read more]

Ed’s got pretty much the sole solution. But I say….”What are you really worried about”?I’ve been driving my TD since 1982 with Classic Roadsters LTD’s steel ten gallon gas tank sitting on the floor pan in front of the passenger.I’ve NEVER thought twice about my gas tank.First, there is science…liquid gas does not burn. Nor will it explode like…[Read more]

MontieYou absolutely do not want the steering locked, or tied or secured. You want to allow the front tires on your TDr to be able to turn and follow your tow vehicle. Tow it around town for a couple of miles and watch it follow you. Some rather large forces would make towing with locked steering dangerous.

Have you got a B to work with yet? I just came across one last week for $1000.00. Rebuilt motor runs and could be a daily driver. Lots body rust in the rockers and, well everywhere. It’s not advertised yet but I have the guys phone #,

Just used some 2″ x 3″ box tubing to build frame. Just looked at how original was built. You will have to extend a MG Midget 14″ to work on the TD body. mGB will have to extend 9″ to work. I have a TR6 in the shop now, so it will be a while on the nextTD!
