Here’s a close up.  They are not “plates” over the extended frame but do look a bit more TD’er than the frame with the extended leg??

yea but did he run the electric wires through the inside of the windshield frame as you did? That was a true piece of work Sir Ed!

There was a guy on this board before i joined who remade his car’s windshield to fold down and put the wiper motor on top too. He went away just about then, but the pics are still around. Wish I could remember his handle.

John,  See what I mean about it being so much cheaper to pose with Ed’s car?  You must have seen a picture of me drooling over Ed’s.  My MiGi doesn’t have a folding windscreen.  The only ones that I am familiar with that do are Ed’s SubiTDr, Happy Jack’s 2332 Firebreather, and Wobby’s (I think).  2 BCW’s and Wobby’s Allison.  

The flush door is on the Allison. Very slick, nicer, more aerodynamic–though incorrect compared to an original TD

I don’t feel so bad here in southwestern Ohio now, only 5-7 inches on the ground. Can’t even imagine 3 feet.

Paul, thanks for posting these comparisons. I think I’ve narrowed it down that mine is a CMC. There is a number (822399-6)stamped in the fiberglass. The front body panel is one piece, not split like some I see. The engine cover folds down for access and the bumpers have the hole for a crank. Something new for this manufacturer’s comparison thread. The door space on the body tub. Most TDrs door overlaps the opening. BUT…there is at least one manufacturer where the door fits into a cutout in the body tub allowing the door to be flush with the body. I have a picture of one and I think its a BCW but not sure. My home town in western Mass has a couple feet of snowcapped with an inch of ice. Glad I moved south to middle Georgia!

And don’t forget the “Snoopy” hat and goggles!!   

We’re in the Southern Tier of NY and only got 9 inches but is still snowing but only expect another 3 today.
