I had a rubbing problem also up front . Front fender brace is adjustable so I moved the fender brace up a inch and it took care of it.There was also rubbing in rear. The brake line was rubbing against the tire . Both easy fixes

Ed, welcome. Disappearing posts sometimes happens to me also. I usually drag across the post and copy it before hitting “post”.

Royal replied to the topic Allison "Daytona" & TDr lineage in the forum General Discussion 12 years ago
Paul, you are right that “parent” is not an accurate word. Except, it is my understanding, in the case of LR & Fiberfab. I really was only addressing appearance. I once read an old magazine that credited Daytona as the first. Unfortunately, can’t remember which mag.

Paul Mossberg replied to the topic Allison "Daytona" & TDr lineage in the forum General Discussion 12 years ago
I wouldn’t call Daytona the “parent.” For example, the Daytona lineage has nothing to do Classic Roadsters Ltd. They did their own design for the way the body goes together and built their own molds. I’m sure other manufactures id the same. And I’m not sure who was first to the game.

If you have stock VW wheels, there should be enough clearance. In addition to Kent’s questions, has the front suspension been lowered? When questions like this come up, we all tend to focus on the wheels,
tires and suspensions. We forget most of these cars were built by
amateur mechanics (like me!!) in their back yards. There are a lot of
places…[Read more] -
