I’m in and should be drinking coffee with Roy on the Hilton patio overlooking the ocean waiting for you all to arrive — but in the mean time I have to hustle to get the front end (torque tubes, ball joints, etc) finished and a few miles of test drive on the new parts…

If Bill and I meet at the Exxon just South of Baltimore [500 Progress Dr, Linthicum Heights, MD 21090] at 8 a.m. we should make Horne’s no earlier than 10:30 a.m.

Google makes it a 2:10 drive via 301 (the shortest route) and I very much doubt we’ll beat that, since it’s a busy road with construction and accidents, and at least one pit stop is likely.

VA Beach is another 2:20 from Horne’s So if we leave Horne’s at noon or a little after we should miss the worst of the traffic & pull into the hotel lot about 2:30-3 pm.

That’s High Tea time, I believe.

I called and asked to confirm that the show was still on for Saturday since there is a lot of flat ground out there and didn’t know about damage from Matthew.

Power is back on.  Crews are cleaning up.  The show is a “Go”..

Friday October 14, at 8:51, Orbital Sciences will be launching a space station resupply mission from Wallups Island VA.

Should be a pretty cool view from the VA Beach boardwalk.

The launch is delayed until at least Sunday. A key tracking station is in Bermuda; and Bermuda is currently under threat from Hurricane Nicole.
