    I recently installed as old style Ford solenoid in my Duchess Kit Car as I was having trouble with the starter clicking as many as ten times before it started working. This was an easy fix and works great. My only problem was I did not ground the solenoid after I had mounted it on the fiberglass car. Once grounded the starter starts every time.

    You can never have too many ground cables/straps.
