New member in State College PACurrently running great ??? but it is too cold to go out and play.
I am planning to convert it to an Electric Vehicle in a year
or so but for now I plan to just drive it with the VW 1600cc.Welcome aboard! Hadn’t heard of anyone doing an electric conversion, of course I haven’t been into these cars a year yet so many new things to me still.
Searched just now and found this electric MG TD replica:And someone else here at tdreplica had posted the same a few years ago.Welcome aboard. Very nice looking car. Hope we’ll see you in Carlisle this year.

Greetings and WELCOME spechols, I am glad you found us. Our TDr web site has a lot of very talented and creative folks here. I do not know if we have any EV experienced members, but ya never know! I have had my Classic Roadster Dutchess for over 30 years. I think that when you have the opportunity to take your first ride, you may have second thoughts about making your MGTD an EV. According to the nice write up about the guy who did so, you may find that 20 to 25 miles may not be enough of a touring range for you. These cars are just to much fun to drive, especially in the beautiful PA. country side on a nice sunny day. Enjoy your new ride, looks like a great car, be safe!

I have always (except for now) had bright red sports cars. Love ’em.
My guess is that I will keep the WV motor for some time but I do need some EV parts. I am currently looking for or how to build a tranny adapter.

About driving in the cold… I live in central Illinois, so our weather is about the same…Being an old motorcycle addict, I just get out the old leather jacket,hoodie, riding gloves, goggles and hat.
