Just wanted to say thanks to all of you out there. I just bought a mgtd kit car that was started but not finished .I need the manual for it and found it . I was curious if any of your members lived near Sac. calif.I would like to look at one close up? I’ve seen theme at car shows from a distance but never up close. (1953 mgtd on a chevy)

January 24, 2011 at 6:50 am #243479Welcome Ray10 to the group and congrats on getting the TD. You WILL enjoy it. Tghrough building it and driving it. There are a number of folks here with Chevy based TDs and I’m sure they can help you along the way. And the registry will show you who is closest to you.

What brand is your kit?.Check out the members photo gallery at the top right of this page and you will see what is possibably the largest batch of TD replicas ever assembled in one place.
The download manuals section in the aqua section to the left may give you some answers .
Please ask questions ,we enjoy sharing our experiences and are eager to help a new member get his ride together and get on the road .

January 25, 2011 at 11:16 am #243485Ray, I sold an unfinished Ford based CMC MG-TD replica “roller” to a guy in Sacramento about 8 or 9 years ago. He had it shipped from my home in NJ.
He retired and started working on it. Soon afterwards, he had a heart attack. I lost touch with him about a year after he bought it. I never found out if he ever finished it.
