Fiberglass grille?

After my last accident I replaced my Fiberfab grille shell with one from an original TD. It had to be modified for the hood to close. The fenders had gaps around the grille shell.

You’re looking at grill slats, I think, (PN 454-170) not the outer shell. That’s the hard-to-get item.Slats in original TDs were originally painted. Hence the zinc plating. I don’t think the TD shape would lend itself easily to bed conversion.
These things tend to be sled-shaped after the early ’70s Can-Am cars.I suppose you could make something vaguely TD-ish with a twin mattress in it, but it’d be a stretch in every sense of the word.Now, an MGA might be doable…
