Carlisle is scheduled for the normal weekend. The Speedster Owners Club is pondering out next move. Planning to come to a decision early March.

I’m leaning yes, but much depends on the vaccine rollout and how the mutations carry. This thing is in no way slowing down, and half a million dead is nothing to, well, sneeze at.

First shot scheduled: Feb 25. Can’t wait for this to be over with.

I tried for years to get a Scorpio that been running when parked. It’s still there. They won’t sell.

I always wanted to see a turbo’d one of these. Even nagged Bill to do that instead of throwing the 302 in his. Hope I can see this one up close in a few months!

Rick just got a pile of TD body parts from Wayne here local ( closing down his VW shop ) but it was a rear engine kit.

I will let Rick tell us his plans when the time comes.

BTW I did finish the tonneau (except for paint) and hung out my shingle offering to make these for others.

My sheet supplier was out of .050 thickness 5052 aluminum sheet so I’ll make the next one out of .040 (18 gauge) and see how that goes.

Non-update update: Merklin is still waiting to hear from the hotel. When we left it last year they agreed to move all reservations up as needed, but nothing is as-yet confirmed. I will let everyone know when I know.

Assuming we still have a functioning republic.

Hope your Christmas was jolly.(at least what passes for jolly these days). 2021 has got to be better. Hopefully we will all meet in Carlisle in the spring.
