I used a 9 inch narrowed front suspension which is about a 48, 49 inch wheel mounting surface also a narrowed 8 inch rear. Info I found for track widths as followsVW 51.4 front 50.7 rearOriginal TD 47.2 front 50 rearMGB 49 front

My 49 truck ran half of last summer on battery alone, until one day on the Blue Ridge Parkway it would not start from dead battery. Jumped it off, not parked on a hill. The body is a Fiberfab from 1982, VW based but built with a Ford 2.3.

The radiator has 3 mounting points, 2 on the bottom and 1 at top centerI mounted a lower radiator support from 1 in square tubing with 2 cups sized for rubber bushings for the pins of the radiator. I,m using a Honda Civic radiator in my Fiberfab with Ford 2.3.

Bill,The transmission is a Mustang 4 speed, still looking for a 5 speed but not that important now since I have so many other things to do. I’m building a front engine TDr. I added brackets and a length of tubing at the edge of the fender.I’ll post photos later.

Glad to see the progress sorry about the problems (x that challenges) I think you used the Honda radiator. I’m using the Honda replacement by Mishimoto from SUmmit, very good quality, of course not in service yet.
