Here’s a shot of my friend who is building a T Bucket with an MR-2 engine in the back and the radiator in the front. This is the second one of these he’s building. The coolant lines are made from aluminized exhaust pipe and are welded through the frame members in order to actually become a strength member. This shot shows them coming through the…[Read more]

When I test mounted that Grant Banjo, it was in my knees and too close to my diameter. Now it feels just right. I did three things to fix this.1. I cut a bigger loop out of the dash and remounted my end of steering column about 1 inch higher.2. I took the hub apart and flipped the back collar. Now the Grant adapter fastens to the inside of the…[Read more]

I agree. Don’t fix anything that’s not broken (outside of cam belts). An 82,000 miler? Barely broken in with today’s engines.

if I hadn’t lucked into the used Sprint car radiator for my car, this one would have been my second choice. I think it would fit into my TDs radiator housing, but I don’t know how yours is set up with the steering gear box.http://www.speedwaymotors.com/Spike-Chassis-005-2009-Stand-Up-Mini-Micro-Sprint-Radiator,40627.htmlThe old rule of one square…[Read more]

I reverse engineered the outline from a photo I took of a real TD. It’s very close, but not exact. I have an Autocad file or can mail you a paper copy. Send me private message with your address if you want it. (or your email if a cad file is ok.)

Thanks for asking about me. Ride home was fine. Towing was the right thing to do, especially for my marriage. Fantastic weekend, guys.

Several years ago I had a hot looking boat. Every time I used it I gave it a quick wipe down with Lemon Pledge. It went on quick, wiped down quick and looked fantastic for that day’s outing. Does not last, but a really good look with minimum arm work. But for a good long lasting wax, make sure it’s carnauba based, like Meguire’s for example.

I did 40 miles yesterday. No unpleasant surprises, except it seems to really like 70. Need to watch the speed or I’ll get a ticket. Good thing the heater works, because it was all top down and half was after dark.

The Bay Bridge/Tunnel goes from Norfolk/Va Beach to the Eastern Shore of Virginia, Maryland and Delaware. Very, very rural and mostly flat once you get across. You could always take it on your return leg.

If you are taking Route 5 to 301 through Waldorf, then be prepared for the new Governor O’Malley taxes and pay $6 to cross the Harry W. Nice bridge across the Potomac going South.

Entire radiator shroud and each grill bar is stainless. When I received it, there was no lip towards the back for the bonnet sides to attach to. I had to add them. The whole thing looked like a prototype. The bars are thin stainless and were poorly welded to thin cross strips top and bottom. About a third were broken lose.Kit was CMC with serial…[Read more]

The radiator shroud and grill is 26 years old but I did run it by a buffing wheel to get rid of a lot of small scratches. The light blue compound works best for stainless.
