greg press replied to the topic FiberFab TD – fuel issues? in the forum Chevy/Ford Kits 12 years, 1 month ago
I have similar problem. Hook a syphon hose to the carb. If it starts its the fuel pump or blockage from gas tank to fuel pump if you disconnect fuel line at fuel pump lay fuel line on ground or floor gravity should let it run freely. If you decide that its the fuel pump remove it. There is a pin that goes through the carb that some times works…[Read more]

I think the only tin I am missing is the bottom tin. I did buy a heat shield for the exhaust. I don’t know what tin fits or where to buy it.

Royal, When I was growing up we would de-grease engines often. Spray the degreaser on let it set for awhile, hose it off. We would always have the engine running when we hosed it off. The way I would do my LR would be jack it up , put it on stands, remove rear tires, crawl underneath and go to town. Is there anything I should cover and should the…[Read more]

greg press replied to the topic electric fuel pump in the forum General Discussion 12 years, 1 month ago
I’m proud of myself. After talking to you guys an a local mechanic I decided not to put an electric fuel pump in. I set up a syphon going into the carb and the car ran good. Took off the fuel pump and discovered that the pin that holds the lever that the rod hits was most of the way out. With some stress I managed to get it back in. I decided that…[Read more]

At the risk of sounding stupid I decided to tell everyone about my findings. When I got it home and posted what I thought my problem was. I did some investigating. This is what I found my fan belt was loose to the point that it did nothing that is why the fuel pump didn’t work. As the car would heat up it would become even looser and just…[Read more]

I have been looking into a new top myself. One of the top builders suggested a oval rear window.I have never seen an oval rear window on a TD replica or any other car but it would look nice and it would zip out easily.

If what you are telling me is so. Why does the problem only exist when starting a hot engine?

As per request: This only after a drive when the engine is hot. You turn the key an it turns over very slowly like your battery is going dead.I believe it would start if it would turn a little faster. It is trying to start and sometimes it does. Its kind like this ERR

The londen roadster came with the strap and it will blow down in the wind. Just wondering has anyone ever forgot to latch it. I think that if you didnt latch it the wind wind would catch it and rip it off
