I am the one with the tire stepper on the spare in Ed’s post. I actually hauled
a steamer trunk on it. I found a chrome one that I plan on buying this
summer. The folding stepper has worked great for me. -

James Cochran replied to the topic Need new top…. in the forum General Discussion 14 years, 4 months ago
Mel,
I actually found a new top with side curtains on ebay for $200. It was still wrapped from the factory and still had the protective paper on the clear plastic parts. It was a fortunate find, but took 2 months of searching ebay for one to show up. It fit perfectly and can be seen in my photos section.

I think I finally threw it away about a year ago, which is very rare for me. Normally I keep stuff until the stuff takes over
However, I will check this weekend behind the garage where it had been hanging around. Maybe it’s still there and I only thought I had thrown it away. I’ll get back to you.

James Cochran replied to the topic Has anyone made an MGTD looking trailer?? in the forum General Discussion 14 years, 4 months ago
There was one pictured on the web that used the rear fenders from a TD on the trailer. I looked and can’t find it, but if I do I’ll post. It looked pretty good.

I pull a 14′ flat bed trailer with 12″ wheels behind mine. It pulls like a dream. On road trips I put my luggage behind the seat and use the trailer for my wife’s luggage
. The trailer was made from a pop-up trailer frame.

James Cochran replied to the topic Side Curtains – side windows in the forum General Discussion 14 years, 5 months ago
Bill,My side curtains have a flap door that allows you to reach out and snap it tight from inside. Then zip up the flap door on the inside. You can see the flap in this photo. The entire thing is awkward, but does work when you do need the side curtains. Usually we keep the curtains rolled up and stored behind the seat bases.

James Cochran replied to the topic Christmas Card Pics in the forum General Discussion 14 years, 5 months ago
Here is one that I used on the registry map last year. I made it in a 3D program and photoshop, it could be perhaps used somewhere on a card. I had started to make one with a TD in place of the sled, but it gave the appearance that the car was broken down and had to be towed behind the reindeer, so I dumped the reindeer and had Santa driving the…[Read more]

Paul, it really looks great
. Thanks to you and everyone that are working so hard on our lifeboat and saving all our luggage. The last time I checked, our boat had already hit the internet iceberg and we’ll know soon if we need to get on the lifeboat. Thanks everyone.

Thanks Paul,
I just checked and we have nine days left here, the registration has not been renewed as of this morning. I believe this portion of the site is thru Web Wiz Forums, and is hosted separate, but still belongs to Frank. I have saved all my personal photos that are in this site to Photobucket already. The registry graphics and…[Read more] -

Donna,
I enjoy the power, speed, and availability of parts of my Ford 2.3L based replica. It most definitely is not a daily driver or a long drive vehicle. I have seen the VW based replica’s zip around without effort. I personally have not driven the VW based replicas, so I can only speak about my front engine baby. The cargo space is very limited…[Read more] - Load More
