Thanks. My main three tow vehicles are a 4×4 Jeep Cherokee Laredo, straight 6, lifted, 31.5″ tires with class III bolt on hitch, an International Scout II 4×4 with 345 V-8, towing package, with front and rear hitches welded to the frame with jumbo mudders, and a Lincoln Mark IV with 460 V-8, welded hitch. Cool article. Thanks for passing it on. I love the top illustration of the cars bouncing in the Popular Science one.
I use a folding tire step for my removable luggage rack (see my pics). The step folds flat to store behind the seat. I have since found the tire step in chrome. The step can support over two hundred pounds, about enough for my…[Read more] -

Thanks Larry, in the first version I had an animated 3D Santa busting thru the logo from behind in a TD, then changed it to Santa with the hole as a hatch that opened on one hinge, then dropped the door idea and had Santa holding the saw that cut the hole, then dropped the saw idea and cleared out all the saw dust on the floor, and ended up with…[Read more]

Greg,
I like it….fools the car thieves.
Mel got the retro radio that you will be seeing next week. My radio removes by sliding out of it’s recessed mount. When the radio is out the compartment is a map holder..sorta. It’s an older unit, probably 80’s vintage, but works great. No MP3 or CD on mine, but I can connect the ipod to it thru the AUX…[Read more] -

Greg,Works well. I had thought of setting mine in a center console, just a little further back than yours. I do have a wooden center floor console with drink holders that matches the dash. The heater (some of us need a heater
) is just above my center floor console. I may just leave my radio where it is, upper dash, passenger side. How many…[Read more]

This is a wonderful collection amount, especially with the economy mess. Gives a great feeling inside to know the kids will have a great Christmas. It’s great Greg, you have done a wonderful thing. We all thank you for being a part of it all and including your awesome auto to help spread the joy.
Trophy room for sure! Mel will be…[Read more] -

Mine runs on a 2.3L Ford engine with manual four speed. It will peel out easily in first, and very rarely into second (but did burn a bit of rubber once hitting second
). My problem is the engine does not strain and I get over the speed limit before I know it. It is wonderful when passing someone, you can feel the acceleration when you push it…[Read more]

Lucas, Prince of Darkness lighting system. Richard, your replica is more like the real deal MG with lights acting up.

Well said Larry and Greg. We do have so much to be thankful for. My brother inlaw is stationed in the Middle East for the third time. The base had Thanksgiving many hours ago. The badges ran out around August 2009. It took several years to sell out and recover the expense. Bill Collins can reorder, but needs at least 20 or more firm orders and deposits. Check the posting under ‘General Discussion’. You may want to private message Bill, he may have a running list.

I have been searching for the builder of my car. I have a few choice words for them……and they are not good ones
. I practice saying those words each time I discover some of the things they did behind the scenes. Everything does work though…..by a miracle.
