  • I was under the impression that the hydraulic clutch would be easier to depress.
I think my clutch cable is improperly adjusted to begin with because it does not release until the peddle is almost in the upright position.
    Is this the correct adjustment?
Would the correct adjustment correct the amount of pressure to depress the clutch?

  • The reason for the hydraulic system is more for the clutch. After a full days driving my left knee hurts for about three days.
A number of years ago I had a Karman Ghia and the same thing happened.
I was much younger then and could “grin and bear it”. Now that I’m older and finically able to do so I want the “easy way out”!
    I also need the…[Read more]

  • Evening,
I have just found this posting, are these “T” shirts still available? If so, how would I proceed with ordering one?
    Thanks,
    Mr. Bill

This is something that I have learned, the original M.G. did not come with wire wheels from the factory. Owners requested them but it was not offered.
They had steel painted wheels with a small hub cap.

Thanks for the information. I am not willing to go that type of price range at this time. I think I’ll have the stock wheels sand blasted and repainted. Then the wire hub caps will look better.
I have been able to locate 2 two bar spinners that mount with a center 5/16″ bolt. I would like to find 2 more of them if anyone has a source. A local…[Read more]

  • Thanks Keitholdcar for the additional information. I now have the car at my house but I don’t have insurance on it yet so I am not driving it yet. I trailered it over. I have driven it only about 6 blocks.
I was told a local repair shop can make the conversion and I will take it to them as soon as I have insurance on the car. If they can’t make…[Read more]

  • Thanks to both of you for your useful information.
I am purchasing this car from a woman that is about 5′-3″ tall and the peddles fit her properly. I’m a little taller and my knees hit the steering wheel whenever I clutch or brake.
