The doghouse shroud should also have the newer offset oil cooler with it to work that much more effectively. It’s not only the shroud that should be replaced, it’s the newer version of the oil cooler also.mrlmd2012-02-24 20:17:01

It won’t add a thing to cooling except making you feel like you did something or it will increase you oil capacity slightly, like I said. 

Mine was a new line run under the car from tank to the rear, goes up under the rear deck/fender area around the left hand side of the engine to the fuel pump, not through the shroud. No problem, easier to access.

Those extra added-on external oil coolers don’t really accomplish anything, unless you have a fan blowing a significant amount of air over them. Where or how do you access that?

It has to do with separating the airflow from the hot areas at the bottom of the engine and the cooler air coming into the fan intake.

My car seems louder with the top up than down. Either the space is more confined as is the noise, or else in the open air the wind noise blocks it out. Get ear plugs if it bothers you, and it will also save your hearing!, and you will be less fatigued, especially on a long trip

They should work better to clear off the windshield, coming from above rather than below. Looks good. It would be real nice to find a smaller wiper motor that didn’t protrude so much into the car.

Old looking and faded adds to it’s charm as being more of an original. Anything shiny and spotless, while it may be nice looking, somehow doesn’t look as real or authentic. Everyone likes the look of a shiny new car, but I like mine, looking a little faded like a good old worn pair of jeans (which I live in).

There’s many of us always hanging around, checking this site at least once a day if not more. If other members could be allowed to delete and block spam, it would make Paul’s job a lot easier.
