I hope no proctologists are reading this. They’ll be telling us to slather Preparation-H all over our but cheeks before a long drive in our TD’s.
We are going to have to start rating members car’s “butt-factor” on a scale of 1-10, i.e.: 65 hp/80 ft lbs/08 bf

The realtor told me that the house is required…maybe I could rent it out? hmmmmm?
Paul, you know me too well…loft, bedroom, mini-kitchen, shower/toilet…what more could a car-phreaque want?
Looks like it’ll be just myself and Wiggles the Cocker Spaniel when we move. Tyler wants no part of “the middle of nowhere”. I told the dog that we’d move…[Read more] -

Held Motorsports was the Fiero (P-Body) aftermarket suspension people. I think they are out of business and may have reopened under the above name. -

Also, there used to be a Pontiac Fiero aftermarket front suspension available that used tubular “A” arms and coil over shocks. I forgot the name of the company.
The ’84-’87 Fiero and Chevette’s used the same front suspension parts. The ’88 Fiero (last one) used a different set up. http://www.fierostore.com/

Most fiberglass boats are gel-coat too. So, a good marine supply (West Marine, etc.) will have gel-coat refinishing products. Dupont also makes some.
I watched an episode of Ship Shape TV once that highlighted refinishing gel-coat that was really gnarly. Google Ship Shape TV and see if there is info you can use. -

Mullica Hill, NJ is just southeast of Camden, NJ/Philadelphia, PA on US 322 between Bridgeport and Glassboro (Rowan University).
It’s about 95 miles southwest of where I live. If Fort Monmouth wasn’t closing in 11 months and I wasn’t retiring and relocating, I’d go look at it.

There are several good wiring harness companies out there to choose from…Ron Francis Wiring, American Auto Wire, Painless Wiring, Centech. I’ve used them all.
A universal “Hot Rod” harness is the best to use IMHO.

It’ s probably a 2.0L OHC Ford. That engine was in the second and third year Pinto’s. The first production Pinto was a pushrod 1.6L and then the European (German) 2.0L Ford.
These engines were extensivey used (Formula Ford) and many other classes of road racing. I remember in the late 70’s they were in asphalt mini-modifieds that ran almost…[Read more] -

Swapping to front disc brakes (dropped or stick spindles) also increases the track width by about 2″ overall.
That’s why guys that drop their stock Beetles and install disc brakes usually run a narrowed beam…otherwise you get tire rub.
The front disc brake kits that are out there are mostly Chinese junk. Be very careful of what you buy. Most…[Read more] - Load More
