Sorry Ed…the weekend after Carlisle, my daughter and I will be sitting right at the end of blue arrow, behind Lauren’s friend Allison and her brothers, and with my friend Bill.
I already drove my TD to Indianapolis and back. Not gonna do that this time.

Here’s the second “no help” suggestion.

- remove the old tube(s) (you may have to cut ’em), insert the new tube(s)

- check/adjust valves (they should be ok,…

Just barely? Ha!Production of the original TD ran from November 1949 to August 1953.Even the newest originals would be four years and nine months older than I am. -

The slim line looks like a possibility Kent. And $200 is a good price!
They have slider mounts too: -

My butt would never fit in those Empi seats!
I suspect Mazda Miata seats might work. A quick look around the web says they are about 19″ or 20″ wide. Not sure if any years had removeable headrests tho.MGB seats are 18″ wide.Triumph TR6?The Corbeau GTSII seats are about 20 inches wide, but expensive at almost $800:… -

I have these in the rear seats of my 65 Plymouth. The lift latch style is a little more period correct:
And this is the 1960s style retractor for a lap belt. Lots of AMericna car manfacturers used these for front lap bel… -

Givign credit where it’s due….Greg provided the dashboard renovation link. All I did was fix it so the link was live.
I’m with Kent on this one. One of the best features of reproductions is that we can do whatever we want, simply because they ARE reproductions. To each his own…even that skull painted, hood scooped, bronze and black TD on e… -

Dang. No, I didn’t know that. I wish I knew while the auction was still live.
The retail on the TD is 45 British Pounds (about $70 USD). Plus a 9 pound VAT.The auction kit sold well below retail. -

Ditto on a Classic Roadsters Duchess.
Running boards do NOT attach to the VW pan, only to the fenders and body sides.

I think it’s best this way Bill. It’s enough that Cory’s “Hoopty” Speedster has gone from primer to full gloss. To have to deal with your TD going from “patina” to full gloss in one shot might be too much for my heart!
