Even better Allen…
By asking about “splash pans”, Bill Gould started an excellent discussion on proper cooling for VW based TD replicas.
So I changed the subject to match the topic.

Caveat Emptor!
Makes you wonder if the seller is intentionally misrepresenting or just an idiot!
I’m channeling Bill Engvall, “It’s a sign….” -

Not sure what he means by splash pans…
But all the stock VW cooling tin should be on your engine (including the pans that bolt on under the rocker arm tubes).
And as best you can, the engine compartment should be sealed to separate the exhaust form the engine.
On a stock VW, the cooling tin seals to the body sheet metal. On our cars, you will…[Read more] -

The seller would probably say he’s giving you a great deal with a $12,000 Buy It Now!
I hope he gets it! He won’t. But it would be nice for all us owners if he did! -

cip1.com also has a wiring diagram on their web site:
http://store.cip1.com/Merchant2/graphics/00000001/IT_ACC-C10 -5720.pdf
Not as complete as the Classic Roadsters schematic. But has all the basics. -

The Classic Roadsters Ltd Duchess assembly manual includes full schematics.
They are are available in our Download Manuals section.
Or click here to go straight to the schematics.PMOSSBERG40758.6186226852 -

Hee hee. Yeah, I edited the link in your post.
One thing I am NOT able to explain…when I paste a url into a post, sometimes the forum automatically recognizes the link. Other times I have to also paste the url into the link pop-up. No clue why it sometimes works differently. -

If no tdreplica.com members have one, try MG Magic
They do not list wiring harnesses on their price list, but they might still be able to help.
I’m sure this would work too:

For someone thinking to adapt TD hub caps to their VW wheels using the VW clips or screw heads, these are a GREAT price:

Nice find Allen.
For teh nipple style cap that they are selling, you have to make sure the three slots that are pre-punched would be hidden behind the MG cap-center

When you clicked the link icon, did you paste the url into the field in the opo-up window? -

I just noticed mrlmd’s question regarding “three hubcaps, three prices”311-601-151 D will fit the four bolt wheel113-601-151 is for the earlier five bolt wheel and would need the spring clamps that rivet to the wheel (notice the clips/rivets sets come up as recommended accessories)I suspect 131-601-151 A is also for the four bolt wheel. Yes.An original TD hubcap has a smaller diameter than the stock VW hubcap. As you can see, the Prototype Research approach leaves the TD cap sitting on top of the wheel and not over the wheel’s ring.

Thanks newkitman! Those are the ones you need to come close the an original style TD cap. There is another approach. The earlier five bolt VW rims used a set of spring clips to hold the hub caps. They were originally riveted to the wheel. You could use them, on a four bolt wheel. And use reproduction original TD caps.Another TD replica…[Read more]

How the %^(* could they fit tires that are three inches too tall?
And the manager is blowing smoke.
It has nothing to do with the kit car body. VW based TD replicas use stock size VW tires. -
