I’m a pessimist when it comes to TDr prices. So with that in mind…
Yes, I’d say $8,995 is asking too much.I’d love for you to get that. But for a perfect TDr, I’d guess you’ll get between $6 and $7k -

Congrats on the NCAA Championship. Exciting Game!
The Big East rules!‘Nova’s win makes me even prouder of Seton Hall’s accomplishments this year, since the Hall had to make it by ‘Nova to win the Big East Tournament.Looking forward to 2016-17 season! -

I lift from the torsion tubes, front and rear. Just be careful to avoid the grease fittings.I disagree with Crash55 on this one and recommend you do not use the stock VW jack points. You can’t use an original VW jack because the mounting brackets got cut off when your car was built. In addition, the stock lift points are okay with the steel VW… -

Good looking car.
Re: the fuel filter…I hope you did not remove it. You do want a fuel filter in the line. Many VW enthusiasts recommend moving it to a spot behind the fan housing, to get it away from the heat of the engine block. -

Welcome!Wish you had found us a year ago. This time last year I was in Australia. My daughter spent a semester at UQ in Brisbane. I met her in Melbourne for the Australian GP, then headed back to Brisbane for ten days. Loved every minute of it! And look forward to returning some day.

It’s a good thing that they are clarifying what the “agreed value” is. But depending on other provisions in the policy, that “agreed value” might only be used as a cap on payment if the car is stolen or totaled.
But that is not the total picture. Do yourself a favor, look for a provision in your policy that says something like “Limit of… -

Woody,
I second what Roy said.If you know the manufacturer of your kit, look in the Reference Library and see if we have that manufacturers assembly manual. If you do, download and you should be good to go.If not, we will need a much better description, and pictures will help! -

Hi Rich,
That black London Roadster looks pretty good under all the dust. But there’s nothing like a pair of eyes directly on the target. If you are interested, let the group know. Maybe someone will be close enough to take a look for you. -

I agree our friend Ed has a critical eye. But I usually agree with him.You have to figure a nice, running, clean, presentable, even showable VW based TDr is going to be worth in the $4 to $5k range. If a car will take $3 to $4k to bring it back to life, than an offer in the $300 to $500 range is most reasonable. That said, the true value is wh… -

Oh man… This has the potential to cause bank account problems for a lot of TDr owners. These are the first adapters I have ever seen, drilled for the VW bolt pattern. Here is MWS’ web site:http://www.mws.co.uk/site/cms/contentChapterView.asp?chapter=1VW is not in the fitment guide. The adapter parts numbers are RSK380 (right side) and RSK381…[Read more]
