Wow Ric,
That looks like a really nice car. Tough call! But there’s no right or wrong answer here! The Carlisle show is for imports and kit cars/replicars. An original TD is more than welcome! The showfield is segmented by manufacturer. And some clubs get their own space on the field. The Speedster Owners Club that the TDr guys hang with have their… -

A dirty fabric cover can do the same. For the first few years of her life, my Duchess lived outside during the driving season. I had an Evolution3 car cover; at the time, probably the best all-weather cover on the market. It got dirty. Nothing you could see, but it magically transformed into sandpaper. Thankfully, no harm to the gel coat at all.…[Read more]

This is akin to asking someone where the best pizza is. Or is thin crust better than deep dish? (The answer to the latter is yes, by the way!
)That said…I’m with Ed on the Honda S2000. Honda reliability in a true sports car.I would consider going further up the Honda food chain. Step up to a used Acura NSX. One of the Speedster guys just sold…[Read more]

Hi Greg,
For polishing… 1,100 to 1,300 RPMFor cutting…2,000 to 2,500For a beginner (which I am) a dual action buffer (aka random orbital) is safer than an orbital. The latter just spins. The former spins, and moves the entire head, resulting in a more random action on paint surface.Any orbital buffer can burn the paint, regardless of the… -
