Hit it with a hair dryer or heat gun (careful with the latter, they can get very hot). After it warms up, keep the hot air flowing, while slowly lifting one edge. It should start to release. And any residue can be cleaned up with something like Goo-b-gone. WD-40 can clean up sticky stuff too. A little wax and you’re done.

Hi gang,There are several threads about the offerings of the different insurance agencies and companies.Allen is not asking about that. He is asking about the titling, registration and insurance process, particularly in Georgia. So let’s try to stay on point and not clutter this thread with that other discussion.Yeah, I know. I’ll get off my…[Read more]

I’ve been involved with these cars since 1981 and I don’t recall ever seeing “Design Classics Inc.” in any publication as a kit manufacturer.
My guess is they were an assembler and not a manufacturer.Google reported a hit in the old TDreplica.com guest book with an entry that included “Design Classics Litchfield MN 55355 Mod#TD49l81 Ser#10086″. S… -

I didn’t make any reference to the “bath tub.”
But yes, 356 Speedsters were/are referred to as bath tubs. Two schools of thought as to where that comes from….The obvious is the body shape, which some say looks like bath tub turned upside down. The more humorous explanation is that they leak so bad the interiors fill up with water and become literal… -

John,
Not sure what you mean by “save topics to our file.”But you are able to bookmark a topic. If you open a topic in a new window (on a PC, right click, then open in new tab or open in new window, not sure about the Apple world), you may then bookmark the page or add it to your favorites.Later, when you access the bookmarked/favorited page, you… -

The Georgia PDF on SEMA SAN’s site has a lot of forms at the tail end.
I did not go through them all, but it seemed that any form referenced in the body of the doc were appended at the end.PMOSSBERG2015-11-05 09:40:48

Yup, the “watch” error has been reported and Stephen is looking at it.
We suspect this was broken before this week’s upgrades. -

Allen,
It is true proof of insurance is required to register a vehicle (in most states). But I think you have things out of order. At the end of your post you mention that you will “also be picking up the paperwork to title the car.”That step will actually be the first step in the overall process of titling, insuring and registering your TDr.In… -

Thanks again for all the nice comments.
I’ll repeat what I’ve said before…I may be the business analyst and QA guy…but none of this would have happened without the many, many hours put in by Stephen Houser. -

With apologies to the TDr purists….
Most of you know I have my TDr, and a 1965 Plymouth Satellite Convertible. From a young age, Lauren enjoyed riding in both, and especially the TDr. But never expressed interest in owning either. When I bought my Intermeccanica 356D, Lauren said, “You finally bought a car I may want to keep.” -

The link to Home is the top link in the banner.I bookmark http://www.tdreplica.com, so the above is what I experience.LRH, are you bookmarking a different URL? I need to know so that I can recreate your user experience. Thanks! -

You will need to do the refresh in each browser that you use.
I’m sure most of you stick to one browser. But I have been testing the site with IE 9, IE 10, Firefox and Chrome. After the production move, I had to refresh each broswer to see the new site. -

Thanks for all the comments. The PayPal link has not worked for years. We lost nothing by deleting a broken link. To buy a badge, send a private message to Billl Collins. Yes, that box is the ballast box. It’s Classic Roadsters Ltd.’s standard design. It’s filled with 150 pounds of sand. Has a plywood top. And a couple “L” brackets holding it tight to the steel frame that supports the front of the body work.
