Well, that was easy.
A lot of the discussion in this thread from the Samba deals with the shift rod. But the pictures and graphics give you a great look inside the VW tunnel: -

I lot of guys run a new steel fuel line thrugh the passenger compartment.
Or under the floor pan, just make sure it is tucked up out of the way of road debris.Even if th rubber lines were replaced 4 years ago, if you see dryness and/or cracking…that decision is easy. Replace them again! 😉As far as “pulling out the old line,” I doubt it. T… -

That might work between these two.But lest a newcomer to the hobby be mislead….there is not complete interchangability betweenall manufcturers.For ecample, London Roadster, BCW, Classic Roadsters Ltd., Allison and Lafer parts likely do not interchange with each other nor with any other manufacturer. -

Allen,Not directly. You can divine it from the registry. But anytime you’ve seen me post something like that, I went through teh registry and did it manually.

I’m not sure anyone knows accurate production numbers from the various manufacturers. I’ve never seen a reliable source.

I did the PCH southbound around 1991 or so. In a rental car. Was quite an interesting drive for the passenger seat occupant!

Not sure if you ever worked out the heat…But for what it’s worth…The VW lost a lot of heat running the warmed air through the rocker panels ducts.I have flexible aluminum tubes (about 2.5″ diameter) running from the heater boxes into the passenger
