Also, if you look at the trim ring on the Mini it’s deeper than the rings on the TD’s. Not a satisfactory install for us at all. But since I like the vintage look of the guards I decided to keep them and use a “Mickey Mouse” way to attach them. Well the stone guards from Victoria British arrived today, complete with mounting clips. Call me an idiot if you will, but I can see no way possible to mount the guards using the clips provided. To do so would require the rim to have cut outs for the clips. Without the cutouts the rims don’t clamp tightly onto the bulb. Or am I missing something,…[Read more]

Larry, Thanks much for the info. I checked out their site, $11.95 for the guards + $7.75 shipping. I thought shipping was a little high but ordered a set anyway. Mine could use a re-chrome. Really enjoy this site, great members, lots of info and assistance.Thanks again,Richard

Well it looks like no luggage rack for me. Did a whole bunch of measuring and number crunching and ended up with zip…I can’t use the tire step idea because my spare tire actually lays on the rear gas tank cover. P195/60 R14. It’s a fat tire with no space between it and the cover. In fact, it overhangs past the rear bumper by 4″. So that kills…[Read more]

The Runyon rack that Moss has is really what I’d like but at present the $$$ isn’t burning a hole in my pocket. What I’m currently considering is a 1928-31 Model A Ford rack that I see on Ebay for around $100. Chrome w/wood slats. Sharp looking luggage rack.
