I have a header on mine w/ a single muffler ( can use two as well ) – really
helped my engine breath – made a big difference.

I agree w/ Ed – if you are going to add weight why not just add parts/tools
to a box in the front so you can repair on the road if needed. I removed my
small leaves and added tools/parts to the front and it drives and rides great.

PS – did not know you had a auto transmission in your ride – rare

Great job – I know how hard it is as I am doing it for the second time right
now – looks great and will be worth it all when you drive off for the first time
– looking forward to those pictures as well. Don’t forget to take pictures of
your kids and yourself working together – I wish I would have taken more w/

I did all the repairs you are talking about on my TD ( 4 plus years ago and no
return cracks ) and am doing the same on my speedie project right now as
well.

Might be easy to order a set of adjustable coilovers from JC Witney and give
that a try – if it dies not work the way you want send them back for a full
credit. It must be noted that I removed all the small leaves in the front of
mine so the ride is not harsh w/ the coilovers.

To add a little diversity to the discussion – I took the small leaves out of my
front beam and then added coil overs to both the front and the rear.
My car rides great – then again I am a bit of a widebody ( working on that )
so others my differ. It tracks great and rides smooth and does not bounce
around.

from there w/ the TD. Since I would be flat towing the early dinner time is

I have a fix that I did on my car seats w/ pictures somewhere on the site – In
my opinion it is way better then just changing out the foam – take a look and

speedster project as it was as rusted as yours. My local VW guy has IRS
frames w/ title ( he strips them as he gets them ) for about 150.00 here in
Va. – mostly bear frame

Thanks for the link Mike – Just what I was looking for – the vac advance are
hard to find for a good price – will mate up to my new 2057 engine w/ dual
Dellorto carbs – they say they have a vac port – just need to locate

Let me guess – You went for the buy 4 tires get one free rebate and when
you sent in the rebate w/ the recept they said the tires you choose were
not in the program even though the store said they were – been there done
