I’ve opened a support ticket with our hosting provider about the slow page load times. I cannot find anything within our site that would cause the slowness. We are on a ‘shared hosting’ plan so there is a high likelyhood that one of our virtual neighbors is misbehaving and causing us trouble.
I’ll update this thread when there is news to report.

The previous site’s gallery images are not manageable by the user that posted them.
During the transition to the new site the previous gallery was copied over to the new site so that images within posts would still work. However, the new site manages images differently and the old images have not been migrated to this new system.

There are still several technical articles that have not been imported from the old site to the new one. The following lists the progress with this issue. A checkmark (√) indicates the article has been imported and updated for the new site.

O.k. So I just did that, created the How-to, moved a few threads there, and then closed the old topics in this forum that were no longer relevant.
I’ll fill in some of the known features we want as threads into this forum next week. Feel free to add your own!

I’m looking for your input on possibly splitting the ‘Site Input’ forum into two separate forums to help me manage the fixes that need to be done and to separate them from the site tutorial type threads.

Don’t use the search icon at the top of the page. Go into the forums (choose forums from the menu) and you should see a search box with a “search” button. Use that one to search the forums.
The search icon in the menu searches the “site” but somehow not the forums.

Good news, at least from the administrative side of the site, it looks like the new registration form is really cutting down on spammers! This will free up more of my available time to work on other site changes.

The ‘Libray’ menu item now has a dropdown for the sections of the Library page (Manuals, References, and Technical Articles). I’ve also copied over the first two Technical Articles and am working out how to import the remainder and build a system where we can easily add more.
As usual, I’ll update with progress as it goes.
