Ringo, that’s funny. Donna, I have to agree with all of the posts so far I have driven my VW based kit all over. It will certainly do 70 but i really don’t feel safe going much over 65. They are a very light car and weigh some where around 1500 pounds far lighter than the original bug who gave its life to live again as a local celebrity. I drive…[Read more]

I bought adjusters at the beetle shop cut the top and bottom of the beam and welded them in. I also took some of the other guys advice here on the site and removed 4 of the half leaves, it rides real nice. If you can weld you will be out around 60 bucks as opposed to an adjustable beam which I believe are around 275. of course I had a whole day of…[Read more]

It is a brand name they were made by a company who makes boat gauges for CMC I looked them up once, the name escapes me at the moment. They may still be available at MG magic. I spoke with Brad about them and he is the one who told me the story about the boat manufacturer.

Will Burge replied to the topic Web Site Fees in the forum General Discussion 14 years, 1 month ago
Any one have any idea how much space or traffic the site requires. I have alot of web space I pay for every year and use very little of it. If I have enough I would be happy to donate. We may need some expert help with the migration though as I am not a web master. Other wise I would be happy to kick in to keep her going .Just a thought Will

Well we did it again the wife and I drove down to sacramento from Seattle and picked up this kit. Brian was a great sport letting us roll up to his house quite late for the pickup after terribly underestimating the length of the trip. We were able to fit the whole kit in the back of the van and started a long trip back home about 16 hours each…[Read more]

Oh yea and we just rewired ours it is virtually identical to the fiberfab schematic which you can find in our downloads section. A vw manual by haynes or chiltons wouldn’t hurt either. Will

I have a daytona migi and a cmc TD. the vin for the chasis should be on the top of the tunnel to the rear just in front of the inspection plate.(between the seats) Most of the migi parts are interchangable except the daytona has a different (smaller) grill and the top that MG magic sells won’t fit the windshield is shorter and the rear of the cab…[Read more]

Ed, Yes thats a Morgan under the wing of a small two seat airplane. I’m not an expert but it appeared to be a real morgan and not a replica. had a holbay racing engine. it was immaculate. There were also two MGA’s the red one in the picture and a blue one with a supercharged buick 215 v8 and a small matching trailer. There was also a Marlene…[Read more]

Larry, Yes we still have the chevette based kit. We had stopped all work on it previously knowing that if we worked on both we would never get the migi done, but now that we are so close to finished with the migi we have started working on the chevette again. We just painted the frame and now have a cleaned and painted rolling chasis. with engine…[Read more]
