I’m still getting used to the new format so can someone tell me how to access member’s photos?
February 16, 2012 at 10:31 am #249187The members photo gallery on the old forum was a 3rd party mod to the software and only worked on the 7.x version. With the major update to 10.x it broke. All the members pics are still out there in a folder and I haven’t figured out a way to get them back on here but will research it some more.
If we want to add the ability to upload pictures within the forums, a full license for the software needs to be purchased for $65.22. Along with the ability to upload picture right into the forums, it will add a calendar and a chat room to the forums as well if we purchase the full license version of the software.Years ago when I started this, the software was very open source and a lot of people, including myself, would modify the source code and tweek things. Sadly, they are firm on their licensing and don’t alow as much freedom, not to mention there arn’t very many people who work in this code anymore.I might put up a poll to see if the cost is worth it to the members to add these feature and let the people deicide.February 16, 2012 at 11:32 am #249188Frankie,
Thanks for the quick reply and thank immensely for what you do to support this site. The information I have gotten from historical posts, forum chats, and photographs has been invaluable in my rebuild.
I personally think the additional cost for the full licensed version is worth it (and voted accordingly).
Is this a one time cost or annual fee?

One time cost and I will update the poll to reflect that.

February 16, 2012 at 3:35 pm #249191I vote for taking up a collection. With enough members who are active on this forum, we should be able to see if a $5.00 donation would bring in sufficient funds for a one-time purchase. Online transfers as gifts can be sent through Paypal to an email address at no cost to either the sending or receiving party.
