Happy New Year to all as well from Middle Georgia. I hope to have Moneypenny on the road in late spring. New Year’s resolution is to get rid of all the distractions and get the TDr done and on the road.

Happy new year to you all! Heading out to a resort tomorrow with the missus–and not with the TD–despite the temps round here. Resolutions are to get in shape, finish the back yard, tone up and sort Bridget, and find a new career.

No doubt, men. My problem is income. If I retire I won’t have any. And, as you point out, the relationship between work and income, these days, is practically inverse.

One of the benefits of retirement is you don’t have to save for retirement . Just my 2 cents

    Happy New Year All!

I was reading this post and was tempted to keep my mouth shut and not face any negative feedback. I just can’t keep a good thing to myself so here it goes.
A few years ago, I owned a successful General Contracting Firm here in So Cal. My wife was shown the Amway opportunity and she wanted me to see it. Reluctantly I checked it out and signed up just to apease her and proove to her that it wouldn’t work. I would continue to build my family’s construction business that my Dad started when I was a kid and I took over when he passed away.
Well to my surprise it started to work. It wasn’t a get rich quick thing but it started to come together on the side of my busy construction company. Before long, it started to take the pressure off of the monthly bills that I had when people didn’t want work done on their house, like from Thanksgiving til tax return time. I also found that I had the same legal tax advantages for a home based business.
My wife was in education and got very sick. She couldn’t work anymore and had to retire much earlier than we had planned. With her retirement and our growing Amway business we are able to pay our bills and have money left over. Our income actually gets a little bit bigger each month without extra effort. I just keep pumping away at it a little each day. Did I mention that I was able to retire my Family’s construction business? My wife was able to focus on her health and I’m happy to say that she is doing much better. I almost lost her twice last year. I was by her side for every doctors visit and her hospital stay. Im so glad that I didn’t have to ask a boss if I could be there for my wife without losing my “job”.
Let me be clear, Im not looking to use our club to build my Amway Business in any way. I want to keep it pure. I do want to give those of you who are looking for a better way to make some extra money without punching a time clock some advice. And if I may be blunt, in these times we live in, if your older than 40 something like me, good luck getting a traditional job anywhere.
I love the fact that I can work when and where I choose. I get great legal tax benifits. I help people reach their dreams and goals. I get to build a business with my wife, who is so dear to me. And I love what I do so much that I plan to work for the rest of my life. Sure beats fixing broken toilets!
Like I said, I won’t use this club to build my personal business but if you want more info, go to amway.com and they can steer you to someone in your area who will help you get started. Amway has a great rating with the B.B.B. and the Federal Trade Comission.
Just something to think about for the new year. I wish you all well and as always…Be Blessed My Friends!

    Rick et al

I’ve no problem with Rick’s initial Amway post. And I’m happy for his success. But….

If you want info, like Rick says, go to amway.com.

If you want to continue the conversation with Rick, send him a private message and continue the conversation off-line.

    This is not the place.

    Thanks folks.
