The Feds mandated flashers for the 1968 model year. The MG’s and that Jag XK should be exempt from that mandate.Check your states requirements, though, regarding reconstructed vehicles.The inspection station issuing the sticker should know the requirements.

why a 283?? just a old engine ? why not a crate motor 350? if you want do a old engine a 327 would be the way i would go . quicker then a 283 and just as easy to find ………. Dan

Ed,, i had the same trouble, after playing with the hinges ,and that did not work the way i wanted ..I took some oak put it inside the fiber glass doors cut to the bend   i needed to twist the door ,,only needed 3/8 of an inch to twist it back to flush with the body. that is when i did the inside of the doors also ,with some oak trim . just a not…[Read more]

Found this as part of another link. Just further confirmation.PS: Sorry forgot direct answer: NO 4-cyl engine will bolt up to a 2.9 bellhousing. Only a 2.9/2.8 or a 4.0 (but that could present its own problems). All these are v6s. 3.0 v6 has its own bellhousing pattern, by the way.
