Nah. That’s not it either. I just tested it by posting, then deleting. So for now, I’m no longer sure about “posts”Re: the centerpiece…. Roy, reach under your chair. If you find a piece of masking tape that says “winner”, you get the centerpiece!

OK, so I THOUGHT I knew the answerMy only guess…occasionally posts will get deleted, like in the registry, once a new member is recorded, we delete the extraneous posts..So maybe we get the points as we post. And they stay, even if a post is deleted?

I almost hate to ask, but….if you click on a members name and then on “members profile” you are given a page that shows: PMOSSBERG “Points 2100” and on the next line “Posts 2057”. If points are posts, then what are posts? …..or is this one of those “things that will be revealed………..”???

The wheels pictured by RAY10 look like the wires that Mel (LovMyTD) put on Mrs Peel awhile back.
Mrs Peel has won quite a few beauty contests so they must look pretty good.Don -

If the wires are the same color, put on a dab of your wife’s nail polish on the wire and where you took it off to match them up again. Use different colors for different wires of you have many of them.Coils are a funny thing. Like I said they can test OK as far as the resistance of the windings. but still fail when in use because of the heat. The…[Read more]

Sometimes you just gotta say “WTF”?How many of you counted the spokes? I know I did. Seems to me sixteen sets of three spokes is a total of 48!Maybe it’s that “modern math!

edward ericson replied to the topic Wire Wheels Deal? (again) in the forum VW Based Kits 13 years, 1 month ago
Well, if someone buys those thinking they are 60 spokes, I guess they’ll probably pay him a 20 percent premium on their own bid price too. It’s only fair.

So I, being a semi professional eBayer, in an effort to help with his listing, wrote to the guy listing these wheels:
and said “They look like 48 spokers to me”. To which he responded: “.They are definitely 60 spoke…. I counted them”. W… -

It is indeed a nice car and the front engined Classic Roadsters are pretty rare too. In the thread on wire wheels,it appears that they would cost about $2000. That gets the price down to a ”somewhat reasonable” figure if the car is as nice as the pictures show it to be. Besides ,the asking price is usually more than what it would take to…[Read more]

ray10. Realizing that you just paid a bunch of money for these new wheels, could you give us your opinions of them? Can you tell who made them and where they were made? They look like 100+/- spokes? Roy
