Too bad they don’t have one for the VW TD.

That’s the one. Possibly the one and only.Re the kit parts: On second thought, if you made it on a VW pan it’d need a Suby engine to lay flat under the bed. ‘twould be wicked.

Mine arrived today and it looks great.  Not bad for a bunch of amateur photographers.Thanks again for spearheading this project.  I’ll look for more photo opportunities in the next year, a little beyond my own front driveway. Happy Mr. August, 2012

Ed I think I’ve seen that artical before.  Neet stuff.. 
 I had to look at the map to see where that guy was in PA.   Between the storage issue, the distance to get them home and the fact my better half would prob   me, I better quit thinking about them.  She’s pretty understanding but another huge project setting around might be pushin it.

A pickup project would be interesting, and historically fitting.On a VW car it would do a lot for engine room too, though I suppose you’d have to make it with a “dump body” to get access to the engine.Those body parts are an hour and a half away from me.

And got it. I think it looks pretty good. Thans to all for the great large format pictures. You guys rock.

Never ever ever buy a two post lift for use at home.If you are lucky enough to have the ceiling height and resources for a lift, buy a four post. There’s lots of info out there. Shop carefully.
