I won’t need to heat it with light bulbs, as it’s pretty mild in the winter where I live. I picked up a cover that was made to fit a TD and it fits just fine, almost to the ground and pretty nice from end to end.

Well, is the garage wide enough to push the car to the side? Not mine. I’m looking to either add on or build a new garage to house mine.

these work real good and much cheaper, takes a little longer to put the car on them.

I have a feeling that this will look like a great idea until they tell me what it costs.

Allen I don’t know about temperature ,,but I have had very good luck with using fiber glass screen as in [sliding screen door] as a back up for added structure strength . I have also used 5 minute epoxy many times out side when I have only a short time for curing . Dan

I have four furniture dollies that I bought from Harbor Freight quite a few years ago. This is not for daily use, but if you have a nice flat concrete floor and a floor jack, they work great (but are not drive on). Cost about $60 for all 4.

That’s a cool gadget. But I think I could put 10-12 TDs in my garage without it, so it’s not for me.

Right up there at the top is a Search link.
One of the options in the “Search In” drop down is “username”.
Just search on yourself. 🙂

Thanks, I found it in the download, I hadn’t seen that before. Can those rubber heater rings for the tubes be obtained from any place, or is there anything else commonly used? I guess I can look in a hardware store for something that may fit or can be adapted if those are not to be found anywhere.

I am quite sure that I am not running hot but, the oil pressure definately does drop as the engine warms up. I start out at about 40# but it drops to about 15# at temperature. I just installed an oil temperature gauge but the weather has turned so it may be next summer before I get some good comparison readings. If I believe the readings on bo…[Read more]

Larry, I’m not interested in these parts but I thought someone else who may be building or restoring one might be. Fortunately MiGi is in really great shape. I agree that this fellow has a poor feedback rating and I would not buy from him unless I could see the body first. I agree it probably is a VW based kit.
If anyone is seriously int…[Read more] -

It’s hard to tell from the small picture, but the front fenders look like CMC with the splash apron split in the center.I do not see any floor panels in the picture , which makes me wonder if it is designed for a VW instead of a Ford. Beware .50% is not a good rating.
Roy ,I don’t think these parts will be an exact fit for your MiGi. -

Hugh Coffey replied to the topic Engine Flush?? in the forum VW Based Kits 13 years, 4 months ago
Are you sure it is not getting a little hot? If the oil pressure gets lower when it warms up it is probably running a little hot. That will cause a build up. Does it still have the heater boxes? If so you need the flex pipes from the fan connected, this will keep the boxes cooler They can cook the oil in the rocker covers. VW incorporated a…[Read more]

You need the VW heater Flexes. You can find them on Ebay. Then you need a piece of pipe to go through the wall to under the seat. If you use PVC get some that is rated for Hot Water, or else it may get soft. I would recommend relocating the speakers, the sound will be better.

Hugh Coffey replied to the topic Voltage Regulator Location in the forum VW Based Kits 13 years, 4 months ago
The best place is on the cooling Housing on the left side as close as possible to the Generator. I would put in an alternator if it was me. I converted mine and it is great!
No dimming lights at Idle, and no regulator. You have to change the mounting base, and fuel pump and push rod. Takes about 2 hours to convert. It is just a much better sy…[Read more]
