I can get high revs, up to 9,000 rpm in my Honda S2000, need to high rev the VW engine in my London Roadster to keep the engine cooling working, and now a hot rod MG TD which I hope has a bit of torque that my two existing roadsters lack.20 years of driving the mini-vans and Ford Taurus company car are finally getting rewarded. The new baby…[Read more]

Good job CurtAllen is spot on. Even that quick drive means you checked them again while the engine was hot. Allen said “should” be set cold. I’ll go a step further…VW valves HAVE to be set when cold. Before you start ‘er up again, do another valve adjustment. Consider it practice.

Suggestion. VW valves sould be set cold. Let her sit overnight and
chexk/reset in the morning before starting her up. Set all valves to
0.006 and you’ll be good to go. -

Thank you one and all. I did a valve adjustment. Ellitchka was running rough – very much 1,2,3.4-sounding.
I used the info from Samba to try an adjustment for for first time- took about 2 hours. I really messed it up. When I drove it was clacking and and very loud. Quickly parked. I Went back to the Muire Book and found that my TCD mark was of…[Read more] -

It’s much more fun to be with someone special when doing the things that we enjoy. My wife likes to ride too but her health does not allow her to do so as often as we would like.It also limits the time I have as well.I have only put 2300 miles on my BCW in two years and three…[Read more]

Hey Jfbworld…Your grill/slats are in beautiful shape! But your potential buyers need more info to be sure of what they are buying. Even saying it is a Fiberfab, may not be enough. As manufacturers merged,
got bought, whatever, designs and parts may have co-mingled.Since the proportions in the photos are off, what are the measurements (height…[Read more] -

Not to be nasty or condescending, but if you had answered all the responses to your ad, and from me by a phone message to your number and on craigslist too, you might have sold the car before it got destroyed. How much is it worth now and how much effort and expense would it be to restore it in it’s present condition?
