Your car is a replica of a MG TD. It was preceded by the MG TC and followed by the MG TF, the MGA and the MGB. There were a number of models after that. Your car is a TD replica, not a B replica.
There are several good books on the history of MG on Amazon.

I am going to assume it’s an HEI ignition.I have never had a module fail.Be sure you have the corect heat sinc dialectric grease between the module and mounting surface without it they will burn out.Also check your power lead to the dizzy should have 12 volts,less could cause an issue.My next check would be the coil could have an internal…[Read more]

Measure 5 times cut once.
Measure 5 times  tack weld  — measure again and complete your weld.  I had a professional do the welding  — you do not want that weld to fail when you hit a bump in the road.
